Privacy Policy

Your privacy comes first. KARMA 365 is designed to work completely on your own device. Everything you write, organize, and save stays on your phone.

We do not collect your personal information, we do not store your notes on our servers, we do not show advertisements, and we do not track you.

1. About Us

KARMA 365 ("the app") is a personal knowledge and learning organizer for Android, developed and published by Harvora. If you have any questions or feedback about this policy, you can reach us directly at ayushtechkarma@gmail.com.

2. Everything Stays on Your Device

By default, all your data stays strictly on your phone. We do not have any central user database or cloud server where your notes are stored.

The following items are saved locally on your phone and are never sent to our servers:

Your Topics & Categories: Any learning topics, subtopics, and subjects you create.
Your Resources & Content: Links, notes, tasks, checklists, study progress, PDFs, photos, and audio recordings you add.
Your Preferences: App settings such as dark/light theme, custom colors, and display options.
Your Security PIN: If you choose to lock the app with a PIN, it is verified securely on your phone. We never see, store, or receive your PIN.
Fingerprint or Face Unlock: Handled entirely by your Android phone's built-in security. The app never accesses or receives your biometric information.

3. Device Permissions We Request & Why

To provide helpful features, the app requests certain permissions from Android. Here is exactly why each one is needed in simple terms:

Microphone / Audio RECORD_AUDIO	Used only when you tap the microphone button to dictate notes, search by voice, or use voice commands.	Audio is processed directly on your device. We do not record you in the background and we never send your voice to any server.
Local Home Network Wi-Fi & LAN State	Used only if you choose to connect your phone with the KARMA 365 browser extension over your home Wi-Fi or USB cable.	This works strictly inside your own private home network. No data leaves your home or passes through external company servers.
Background Audio Playback Foreground Service	Allows educational audio lectures or recordings to keep playing smoothly while your screen is locked.	Used exclusively for playback controls on your lock screen and notification shade.
Photos & Files Picker Storage / File Access	Used only when you manually pick a photo, PDF document, or file from your device to attach to a topic.	The app only opens the specific file you choose from your phone's standard file selector.
Internet Access INTERNET	Used only for optional internet features you trigger yourself, such as opening web links, playing YouTube videos, or backing up to Google Drive.	The app never uses internet access to secretly upload your private notes or profile data.
Biometric Sensor Fingerprint / Face	Used only to unlock the app if you turn on fingerprint or face unlock in settings.	Managed 100% by Android. The app only gets a simple "yes" or "no" from the system and never accesses biometric data.

4. Optional Features You Control

Any feature that connects to the internet is completely optional and only activates when you choose to use it:

A. Google Drive Backup (Optional)

If you want a backup of your data in case you switch or lose your phone, you can choose to connect your personal Google Drive account. When you do:

Your backup is sent directly from your phone into your own personal Google Drive.
Harvora does not own, run, or place an intermediary server between your phone and Google Drive.
We have zero access to your Google account password, Google Drive contents, or backup files.
You can disconnect Google Drive or delete your backups at any time directly from the app or from your Google Drive.

B. AI Assistant (Optional, Bring Your Own Key)

If you choose to use the AI assistant feature, you supply your own personal API key (for example, from Google Gemini, Groq, or OpenAI):

Your API key is stored safely on your phone and is only sent directly to that AI service provider over a secure connection.
Harvora never sees, intercepts, or saves your API key or conversations.
The privacy policy of the respective AI provider applies to the queries you send them.

C. Viewing External Web Links & YouTube

When you click on a web link or watch an educational YouTube video inside the app, your device connects directly to that website or service (such as YouTube / Google), subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

5. What We Never Do

No Advertisements: We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising identifiers or tracking codes.
No Tracking or Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking SDKs.
No Selling of Data: We never sell, rent, trade, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.
No Location or Contacts: We never ask for or access your GPS location, contacts list, or phone calls.
No Account Required: You can open the app and use it immediately without registering an account, password, or phone number.

6. How to Delete Your Data

Because your data is stored on your device, you have complete control over it:

Delete Specific Items: You can delete any note, task, topic, or attached file inside the app at any time.
Delete Everything on Your Phone: Simply clear the app's storage in your Android settings or uninstall the app. All local data is permanently wiped from your device immediately.
Delete Google Drive Backups: You can delete your backup file anytime directly from your Google Drive or from the backup screen in the app.
Nothing on Our Servers: Because we do not store your private notes, topics, or files on our servers, there is nothing on our servers that needs to be deleted.

7. Data Security

Your notes and files are stored in an encrypted database directly on your phone. All optional internet connections (such as Google Drive backup and web lookups) use industry-standard secure HTTPS connections.

8. Children's Privacy

KARMA 365 is a personal productivity tool for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy in the future, the updated version will be posted here with an updated revision date. Any major changes will also be highlighted in the app's release notes.
